In most cases Matthew visits your home to plan your portrait session, which includes collaborating on a preliminary photo list and determining which room(s)/windows have the best light for the project.

A group/family portrait can also be taken, if desired.

You and Matthew will discuss with the number of people in your family, their age ranges, any special accommodations or considerations, and possible locations for the portrait session.

Matthew really enjoys the individual, couple, or small group candid and experiential portraits, as this is where the essence of his subjects shines through. This fun, relaxed portrait session yields exceptional results.

Matthew carefully and professionally edits your portraits and sends you a gallery. From here, you can download the files and order your desired prints.

You select the images you want prints made of, their size, and quality grade. You submit the order to the lab. Matthew’s expert set of eyes reviews your order to eliminate any potential problems. Your beautiful prints typically arrive within a week, via USPS.

Discuss with Matthew the someone in your family who is aging, in fragile health, or for some reason merits the focus of your portrait session? What is their essence, i.e. hobbies, profession, proclivities, etc. that can give the portraits more depth and meaning? (See example portraits with artwork, nature, sense of style, highlighted. These are just ideas.) Think about including something special in your own portrait.

Typically we start with a group, or family portrait. Any thoughts on where you’d like this taken (your home, a scenic location)? Where will the individual and sub-group photos be taken? Legacy Portrait Sessions often include Classic Portraits of all the family members individually.
